alt_ Chicago has broken a lot of ground. We engaged in work to create the first ever community-run public archive, developed an innovative education program utilized by Chicago Public Schools, started hiring a small team of neighbors to teach them creative and technical skills, and in a moment of urgency, fed over 5,000 neighbors with the alt_ markets.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support our neighbors and to develop ambitious grassroots initiatives in Chicago.
